A huge amazing printer
2009-06-25When they say "Large Format"...
They mean it.
From seeing the box for this printer to seeing how well it fit into my computer setup, I have loved the way that this printer ended up working with what I needed. It is indeed really large, but surprisingly less large than an Epson or other competitors within the same category.
The print quality can be outstanding as long as you know what you're doing; though even if you're using the Windows print drivers photos will turn out fine.
Ink prices can get to be a little steep, but honestly, you won't be buying that much ink unless you print 50 photos on a weekly basis. These are the longest lasting ink cartridges I've bought. The prints do not have an odd smell to them, or crinkle the paper as I have seen with other printers.
This printer is probably one of the best to ratchet up your photo printing with. Starting a photography business? Buy this printer, learn what makes prints beautiful and you'll be set.

Awesome Printer!
2009-06-16I LOVE this printer! The photos come out totally professional and clear (of course, as long as you took a good picture to begin with). I print alot in the 13 x 19 size and they make people's eyes pop out. The printing is extremely quiet and quick....just be sure to let the photo dry completely before you try to frame it! (I got too excited and it stuck to the glass) Set up is quick and easy as pie. The only complaint I had was that they do not include a USB cable with it and for the price of the printer, they could of thrown one in. If you are in the market for a photo printer, you will definately be happy with this one.

pro9000
2009-06-12this is a great printer. it is fast, and not too expensive to run. people are always impressed by the output. keep in mind though that is is BIG. really big, so if you think thie will fit on your desktop, you must have a really big desk. it needs its own table, and a lot of room in front and back

Canon Pixma Pro9000 Professional
2009-06-04To be honest I haven't slowed down long enough to really give it a good work-out. But, what I have printed so far is of professional quality. Love the Large format.

Canon Pixma Pro9000 Printer
2009-06-01I had a Canon Pixma Pro9000 printer for a few years and had to replace it. I like the printer so much I had to get another. The printing is exceptional in color and sharpness. I print artwork that I create on the computer and use 14 inch wide paper for most of my prints. It works great!

Driving with a cell phone is a lot less dangerous than driving on prescription drugs
There's a lot of debate today about the safety of using cell phones while driving. Statistics show that those who use cell phones while driving cause a much greater percentage of accidents than those who avoid using their cell phones. And the studies have shown that it's not just the physical coordination required to punch numbers into the cell phone while you're trying to work the vehicle that causes accidents; it's actually the lack of attention resulting from driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. It seems that when you're distracted, you're more likely to cause accidents.
In terms of public safety, it's probably correct to say that banning cell phones would reduce the number of traffic accidents. But I think, more accurately, it depends on the person. Some people are operating on, shall we say, lower power CPUs in their heads to begin with. They might be zoned out on prescription drugs, and when you add a cell phone to the equation, they do become a danger to the ...
