T305 - good for the price
2009-07-04I bought a new car recently and the salesman, a <30 year old guy, recommended that I pass on the manufacturer's $800 Bluetooth setup, and instead go across the street to AT&T and get the T305 for $100. Well I found it at several local retailers for $50 - 75, but on Amazon for <$35. (I even bought a second from a competing website for <$25 last week) First of all I was amazed that a salesman would tell me to skip the car dealer and go buy this unit. What a guy!
Now as far as the actual performance goes, I'd say it was below that of my Nissan Maxima's Bluetooth, but not bad at all. Pro: 1) It was easier to set up and pair. 2) It's portable, so as I switch cars I can take it with me. 3) It does not use replaceable batteries, instead recharges with the included USB charger. 4) It connects to calls better than the Nissan system. Con: 1) Voice dialing is poor 2) Since it is not integrated to the audio system, you have to shut off the radio to take or make calls. 3) The visor clip is handy, but you can't really keep it on the driver's visor during the day because you are constantly moving the visor to block the sun. I keep it on the passenger visor and the audio quality drops quite a bit. I will probably rig up some velcro attachment to the dashboard. 4) The tiny speaker is powerful enough to hear while driving at city speeds with the windows up, but on the highway or around town with the windows down it is tough to hear. (This is with the unit on the passenger visor, it is better on the driver's visor)
All in all, a great deal for a good gadget, and I don't have to have a stupid Bluetooth ear piece.

Works well, no complaints
2009-07-01Blue light "on" doesn't bother me like other reviewers as it's out of my line of sight. Volume is fine as long as you don't drive with all the windows down on the freeway. Also need to remember to keep it charged via the cigarette lighter which is a bit of a nuisance (when it's clipped to your visor and have to remove) but otherwise it works for me. Tip - make sure you charge it before trying to use (per instructions). My know it all son didn't and duh, would not connect until after charging when it worked fine.

best one so far
2009-06-30I bought this hands free speaker to replace a BlueAnt unit I bought about four months ago. The BlueAnt, over $50, had a terrible echo for the person I was talking to. The T305 has almost no echo. My wife and friends love it and actually answer my calls now. Easier to use than an ear piece, and the blinking blue light doesn't bother me. I never see it unless I look up at it. My truck has lots of head room; if you're in a low car, put some tape on the light.

The T305 is an elegant solution
2009-06-26The Motorola T305 is an elegant solution to the problem of how to go totally hands-free and not TOTALLY irritate my wife with complicated instructions.
Bottom line: it works, it's simple, it's inexpensive.

I love it
2009-06-23The blue light is not an issue to me. I called all of my friends and family and asked them how it sounded on there end. There was only one time that I got some strange feedback. I had the radio turned up while it was on, other than that it works great.

Camera basics: shutter-speed, aperture and ISO
In this article, I’ll introduce you to the basic elements that you can use to control exposure in your shooting. If you have a digital SLR, there will be a way to set all of these controls on your camera, but since they differ between manufacturers and models, you’ll need to refer to your camera’s manual to find out exactly how to change them.
All cameras, whether an ancient film camera, or a more modern digital, work in pretty much the same way. Photographs are taken by letting light fall onto a light-sensitive medium, which records the image. Traditionally, this has been film, but more recently, it tends to be a digital sensor. The more light that falls onto the film or sensor, the lighter the image.
Put simply, a camera consists of a light-tight box that stores a light-sensitive device (either a film or a digital sensor), a lens that magnifies and focuses the image onto that light-sensitive device through a hole in the box (called the aperture) , and a shutter that opens ...
