Product Description:
Air Date: 02/18/07 How early can a child be diagnosed with autism? Researchers at the University of California's M.I.N.D. Institute are trying to identify the symptoms in children as young as 1 year old. Even infants are being screened for early warning signs of this neurological disorder. The hope is that early intervention will reduce autism's most debilitating symptoms. Lesley Stahl reports on the effort to diagnose and treat a condition that affects one in every 150 children.

I'd Give This Zero Stars If I Could!
2007-09-08Don't waste your time buying this DVD! It is as shoddy a piece of journalism as you'll ever find. Frankly, the piece could have been done twenty years ago -- it sheds no new light on the subject whatsoever. The "experts" have little expertise and their ideas are outmoded at best. If you're looking for insights into autism and how to best help a child you know (whether you know or just suspect that they may have an autism spectrum disorder), I urge you to buy the DVD "Healing Autism: A Breakthrough Approach with Kenneth Bock, M.D."

a little misleading
2007-05-19I enjoyed the DVD but thought it was going to be about Autism for the full 60 minutes but instaed it was only about 15 minutes and the price I paided was too much for that amount, I did enjoy what I did watch.

60 Minutes-Diagnosis: Autism
2007-05-14I purchased this DVD to use during a presentation I was giving on Autism. It really gave my audiance a look into the world of autism. The information presented was accurate and showed characteristics of autistic children from infancy through to adulthood.
