Along with the more popular cartoon characters (like Betty Boop or Popeye), a real highlight of MCE's CARTOON FESTIVAL 76 Episode Pack are the four British-made Hoffnung shorts. These are a nice blend of impossibility, droll humor and classical music. For real adult tastes, check out "Uncle Tom's Cabana," by Tex Avery. Little Eva sizzles in this one.

Video dubs vary from above average quality to barely fair. There's no evidence here of digital enhancement. Audio is uniformly clear.

This multi-pack and CARTOON CLASSICS - 74 Episodes are not in the current MILL CREEK catalog. Still available however are their ULTIMATE 150 CARTOON FESTIVAL and 150 CARTOON CLASSICS These latter two DVD sets have been conveniently combined into the AMAZING 300 CLASSIC CARTOON COLLECTION.


FAMILY FUN 50 MOVIE PACK (also from MCE) would make a fine companion to this animation set.

it was nice to watch and brought back some memories. too bad the new cartoons couldn't be as much fun to watch as the old ones.
