Love, Love, Love HP Touchsmart IQ504
2008-08-01Are you kidding me? What's not to love? This is a F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S computer. I've probably purchased 10 or more computers in the past 5 years and this is my hands down favorite. Easy set up, incredible screen, doesn't take much desk space and it is LIGHTNING fast. I paid more than double this price for a top of the line Dell CPU only no screen or keyboard. I wish I could trade that for two of these! It's so much faster. It feels and looks so different from a "normal" computer and there is nothing under the desk to bump my knee on. LOVE THAT. I spend 10 hours or more a day on the computer for work so this is just a treat. I'm not one to write reviews but this computer is worth telling people about. I love everything about it and think everyone should own one. Hey HP will ya' send me another one for free if I spread the word?????
I too had some initial problems with downloading new programs and a couple of kinks to work out including losing the sound control on the monitor. It all turned out to be issues with VISTA not the computer and a super friendly tech stayed on the phone with me for two hours to resolve everything with updates and such.
I'm watching the reviews from previous customers and hoping my keyboard doesn't go kaput. I have a newer version that just came out IQ501
The only thing that could make this better is if it had a Keurig coffee maker built in. Now that would be the ultimate machine!

great computer but.........
2008-03-29I bought my HP last December and fell in love with it until a few days later when the keyboard started to act up. As I was typing it started missing letters or just froze. I put up with it until last month and then called HP and told them I hated the keyboard and mouse because of the intermitent way it was working. They express shipped a new keyboard and mouse to me and this one seems to be working better, although every once in a while when I move the keyboard it goes back to missing letters. The photo printer sits right behind the screen, saving space on my desk. A great looking computer, and I can even comes with a remote to watch TV. Everyone raves about the look and loves it when they come by.

Nice to look at, not worth the price...
2008-01-25I have owned the HP IQ770 for over six months and use it as my main PC. My intial issues were related to using the installed Vista operating system... but for better or worse, Vista is here to stay.
Now back to HP IQ770. It does a fair job, though I feel it is slow for a pc in this price range. The multicard reader failed about two months ago, dead and not servicable or accessable by the user. The DVD/CD burner is unreliable; sometimes not 'seeing' CD's or DVD's I loaded in it. The DVD/CD drive has jammed on occassion and refused to eject my disk. There is no access to this drive, either should it quit. There are no outputs for a second monitor; would be nice in the event of failure of the 'built-in' monitor. No HDMI, DVI, parallel, or serial ports you can NOT expand the stock system. You can not add a PCI card.
The HP IQ770 does have a "WOW" factor due to its unique and very nice appearance... after that you will find it a very mediocre PC.

Christmas gift
2008-01-14I bought this computer after it was specifically pointed out to me in a Costco store by my 14 yera old son. I read a few reviews about this unit and it had mixed reviews. I bought it anyway. My son LOVES this thing. The touch screen aspect seems to make him especially happy. It was very easy to set up (one review said they had to hire the Geek Squad to get it going. What an idiot.) and has performed without trouble. My son is on this thing most of his waking hours, so that is saying something.

HP Touchsmart PC
2007-12-27I have the next version of this, the HP TouchSmart PC IQ775. So there are some differences in hardware between the two but the concept of this computer is right on! Within a few hours, touching the screen (either with the stylus provided or the tip of my finger) was very natural. In fact, when I was helping my son set up his new laptop (which doesn't have the touch capability), I found myself touching his screen, to his dismay, quite often! It is a great interface.
The look of the PC is amazing. The pics amazon shows for this doesn't accurately reflect that the screen is surrounded in shiny black...must be their flash reflecting. Having the Media Center open and being able to quickly check weather, calendar, get contact info, etc., is exactly how a computer should be. Oh, this wakes up from sleep mode incredibly fast.
I have only had this since Christmas and not a lot of time to play on it...but so far have been impressed. You can easily switch being the mouse, the stylus, keyboard shortcuts, and your fingertip.
I think you will really like this computer.

A Quick Look At the Professional Digital Camcorder
Introduction
Professional digital camcorders are better than your analog camcorder, or even your digital video camera. The advancements that have been made in the camcorder industry are amazing. Just like everything else they keep getting more and more advanced, and shrinking in size. Even though we have seen much advancement, the price keeps getting more and more affordable. Professionals are not the only ones who can now enjoy the wonderful benefits of a professional
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A professional digital camcorder allows creativity and quality to meet, and the cost is far lower than it was only a few years ago. Even in the late 1990's most professionals were using Betamax professional quality analog recorders, though the professional digital camcorder was starting to come into its own back then.

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot.
There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them.
When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...
