Kwik Tek Dry Pak Multi-Purpose Case (Clear 9-Inch x 12-Inch)

I've been very satisfied with this product. I use it with a Kindle 2; the case is tough and durable, but flexible enough to allow for easy operation of the Kindle's buttons. About the only difficult one is the standby slide switch; I'm in the habit of turning the Kindle on before I seal the case, and that usually works out fine.

I've been sucked into the digital reading cult and now I can't live without it...that means I need to read in the tub! I bought a new reader recently and it wouldn't fit in the waterproof pouch that I had used with my Palm LifeDrive, so I had to find a new one. I was hesitant buying online because I couldn't test it first to make sure the device would fit and I couldn't tell how well it would seal.

I thought I would try this option since it was cheap and I could use it for camping stuff if it didn't work out for what I wanted.

It's wonderful, the seal is amazing, if you don't have the little knobby things turned just right, you can't open it. The plastic is very thin and malleable so that I can see the screen of my device quite easy and can scroll through the pages with no issues.

I have the Sony Digital Touch reader and the pouch is a little big for it, but since the plastic moves so well, I just let the top of the pouch bend back and it works perfect.

This case not only protects a Kindle DX from food in hand, but it also allows two hands to be devoted to eating as it keeps the Kindle DX from sliding away. Using just one of the four latches on top of the case, unlatch it to access the Kindle DX power slide switch on the top edge of the DX after it suspends. This use of this product was initiated by someone else on Amazon, but I couldn't re-locate it. Typically only the next/previous page buttons are needed for reading, so the difficulty of operating the jog controller through the plastic is tolerable.

Since I find that no tagging is possible below, I will never again bother to respond to Amazon's request for a review.

I sat in the surf and read my kindle in this bag. No leakage, no condensation. (I packaged it in my air-conditioned home with an old silica gel pack which came from something, but I don't think that mattered. I didn't open it again until I came home.)

The plastic is kind of thick for moving the selector and the power switch, but the buttons work great. My husband was reading a "real" paperback but had to put it away when the drizzle started. I felt so superior!

This product is a good idea to protect the Kindle. I like to read in the bathtub. This allows me to do so without worrying I'll drop it in and ruin it.
