This lipstick really lasts!
2008-11-02I ordered this in Rosewine and Wineberry. Since I can't re-apply very often at work, this is what I use because it lasts for HOURS. However, be careful when ordering because the shades are not really as they appear online. Both shades are not as dark and more "pink" than I expected. I gave one to my sister, and it looks better on her. I do wish it moisturized a bit more, because I often need to apply a gloss over it. Otherwise my lips feel dry. But it doesn't smudge, feather, or bleed. Overall, a good product.

Cheap but Too Dry
2008-04-06I was really excited to get my first coral-colored lipstick. But when I tried it on, it was very dry and cakey. It made little clumps. It looked nice after I used clear gloss over the lipstick.

Cool for black girls
2007-12-31I'm a dark skinned girl and I love red lipstick. I've spent countless amount of money trying on all the wrong shades. Apart from Deep Plum also from AVON and another Fashion Fair plum shade sold at Carson's, Cherry Jubilee is one red shade that looks great on dark skin. It's not so bright that it makes me look like a clown, it's just dark enough. It's not incredibly dark that it's overly dramatic (which may be a look you're going for), but it's a nice, fun red. The texture of the lipstick is very pleasant as well. I recommend this color to anyone looking to try red, especially dark women in search of a suitable shade.

Hot!
2007-10-05This color looks gross in the tube but it was EXACTLY what I wanted when I put it on. It's DARK berry pink. It stains really well. It's a serious color.

Recycle Last Year's Fall Trends
Here's a fashion conundrum that we have all faced at some point or another. How do you wear something from last year that doesn't scream, "That's so last year"? We all get sucked into at least one trend per season that we end up spending more on than we should have, and then poof! the trend has vanished and we are stuck with a very distinct and very costly souvenir of the season. But you don't have to take last fall's trends to the consignment shop just yet ‑- here's how you can recycle last season's must-haves.
Brooches
Corduroy
Animal Prints
Knee Length Trousers

Brooches
By now, most of you have a drawer full of brooches from last fall. Big ones, small ones, sparkly ones, colorful ones. But don't despair. While you may be very busy buying this season's layered necklaces, you can still dust off your brooches and put them to good use. Here's how:
Wear one on a chic clutch bag for the look of an elegant clasp.
Pin them on strappy sandals for an evening affair.
Wear them in y ...
Makeup and Hair: What's In and Out for 2006
Shedding last year's skin can be a slightly arduous winter pastime, but, remember, the season is all about preparing for spring's rebirth.
So open your closets and drawers and allow this sage advice from Jay Manuel, beauty expert, art director for America's Next Top Model and our special trend forecaster, to guide you.
Overall, says Jay, 2006 will be the year that glamour makes a comeback. It won't be the heavy, stylized looks of silent movie stars, but people will be paying more attention to details and striving for some classic touches among their otherwise casual getups. And Jay thinks curvy shapes will be all the rage in 2006 ‑- good news for just about all of us.
His first bit of advice? Hold on to that kohl eyeliner, but ditch the smoky black eye shadow.
Tip 1: Colorful smoky eyes are in. Plain black smoky eyes are out.
"I almost hesitate to say this, because a smoky eye is always in style, but for this year you're going to see an 'evolved' smoky look," says Jay. "Look fo ...
