A greatest hit title that worths every penny2010-03-20
Nice game controls, easy to learn and beautiful graphics and well structured story. It is not just a carnage game type, it has a background story to follow, like a little puzzle that needs to be solved. It worths every penny that you invest. You'll feel the need to solve the entire puzzle getting the sequel Assassin's Creed 2...
    Fortune favors the Blade2010-03-10
This game had a lot of potential, but it quickly lost my interest. It is awesome while you're killing your first victim. Then after you assassinate him, and move onto your second target the game becomes more and more monotonous. Every assassination is the same. Yes there is a slightly different story to them, but the game play is the same. You get on your horse and ride to the town. Then you go to the assassin's bureau, after that you have to scale tall buildings in order to see your investigation missions. And finally after you do them you get to kill the target. The horse riding is extremely boring, as you go through the same patch of land every time, with a slight variation at the end. Also why don't they just give you the investigation missions, why do they make you find them by climbing to 8 high buildings in the city. Also there are mini missions like saving the civilians from the guards. There are only two sets of dialogue, one for the man, and one for the woman. Why couldn't they record another line of dialogue. These missions aren't vital and unless you like to throw your PS3 controller at your TV, I suggest you let the guards have there way with them.

The combat system itself is your average hack and slash. Basically you defend and counterattack when they try and hit you. It gets really annoying, because as the game progresses you get caught more and more by the guards. It's downright boring to stab people. Another problem is that sometimes he doesn't stab them, he simply punches them and knocks them down letting them get back up and join the fight. Every assassination you achieve you unlock a new move to add to your list. The game makes you practice the move every time you unlock one. None of these moves are difficult, why must I have a tutorial on them.

The story in this game is average. It doesn't really grab you like it could have. There are some great voice actors like Nolan North and Kristen Bell in the game. Unfortunately their performances were in vain, because the story can be explained in one sentence. A rebel assassin is sent out to kill 9 targets, and with each one he begins to question his faith in the creed. There is another part of the story, but I'll leave that for you to find out.

While the game looks impressive most of the time, there are some issues. There is constant digital data floating around. This is done on purpose to some how connect to the machine that Desmond uses. It is just distracting in my opinion. The sequel has garnished high reviews and if you are deciding to buy this one or the new one. Don't even hesitate, buy the new one, because the original is a very forgettable, monotonous, and average title.
    Great graphics, short on plot2010-03-07
I'd give this game 5 stars for the graphics which were impressive. The details of the scenes and objects made it visually fun to play. I'd give it three stars for the story though as after the first few kills, I found myself doing the same two moves every time. You could finish the entire game with just about two buttons so more variety in the kills would have been nice. The ending was also weak as it clearly laid the groundwork for the sequel, but was one of the poorer endings of a game I've seen in a while.
    cool game2010-02-11
Not a bad game the story is interesting the graphics are cool and over all not a bad game I look forward to playing part two cause of it... It plays very much like Hitman only with a better hiding system to it.
Great Game a little too short but still a great game to play2010-02-03
the shipping was great it came right on time and it took my son 17 days to pass it. it was really easy because there are some things that you repeat, but sometime you do get into it and it really fun game if you like killing bad guys. So i rated a 4/5 I think it could been bit more better, but let see how part 2 is
