SDHC Card & Reader2008-11-06
The BlueProton reader is made of cheap thin plastic. However, the reader works without any problems. I did have a problem with a bad Sandisk 4gb sdhc card. The card was replaced and everthing works as is should. The reader fits easily into a shirt pocket. Great if you want to take the reader to work. For the price, this reader / card combo is a good deal.
I have several different kinds of these.2008-09-23
I've found some brands to be unreliable, especially when you use a converter to a mini SD card. This one works solidly everytime. I'll probably need to get another one because my daughter has decided that this one needs to belong in her room with her laptop. Even though I've got a few to choose from, I'll probably be happier when I get another one like this.
Do NOT order this!!!!2008-06-02
Great memory, but a company called BlueProton Consulting will be shipping it at a hugely inflated cost. I was charged $12.50 to ship something the size of a postage stamp. Pretty lame. Eff you Blue Proton!~!!!
Does What It is Supposed to2008-05-27
Works really well. On the site, it said it would be a Class 6, but on the card it said Class 2. I benchmarked it on my cam (through CHDK) and it wrote at 6Mbps :) so can't blame them for that. The reader looks kinda flimsy, but it works so far. Really small too :)
Great for backups and fairly fast2008-04-27
I use 4 GB cards primarily for backups. I've never had a problem, unlike with DVDs. I already had two non-SDHC 4 GB cards and wanted another. However, non-HC cards are becoming increasingly hard to find at a good price. So I decided to give this card+reader a try since it was so affordable. It works very well, with a read/write speed of about 4 MBytes/Sec on my Dell XPS computer. That's not as good as the 7.5 MB speed I get with the 13-in-1 media card reader on the computer, but that reader does not support SDHC cards. So, although the speed is less with this reader, I should now be able to use 8 GB or even 16 GB HC cards. I may even start using it as a media drive in addition to backups.

BTW, this reader is very easy to use. Just plug it into any available USB port and wait for Windows to initialize it. It is drive I:\ on my computer, but I'm sure that varies by computer and OS.
