Product Description:

Hop on Board! Strolling around has never been easier with two children. The versatile Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller allows an older child to stand on its patented rear platform while a younger child rides comfortably in the front. If the standing child tires, they can turn around and rest on the padded rear seat. Fully equipped with a universal car seat attachment system, the Caboose can accommodate an infant in the car seat, so you can use it as soon as your new arrival comes.

And parents make out too because the Caboose is lightweight and folds up compactly. It also has a large basket and storage pockets for everything you'll need to take along with you. And the rear platform means no more lifting a heavier older child in and out of the stroller when they want to see or get tire. The Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller makes strolling with two children a breeze!

Its purpose is marred by failed toddler seat design2008-11-11
Hello -

It looks like more than 150 people have reviewed this stoller already, so I'll keep this brief. Hopefully the engineers at Joovy are reading our feedback here...

I am disappointed in this stroller and am confused why it received such consistently high ranks on Amazon. The truth, I think, is in the reviews that get 3 stars or fewer.

My biggest complaint is that the sitting/standing toddler area is poorly designed. That is, when a car seat is in the front, the rear-facing toddler chair-back has to be pushed down to a roughly 70-degree angle. Our guy can't sit in there. It looks ludicrous.

Worse, when he is sitting in there, two bright red levers are in plain view that invite near-constant pushing. What are they? THE BRAKES! How many times do we walk down a busy sidewalk starting and stopping because those red levers are just too much fun?

I have minor complaints, too, about the "universal" mounting system for the infant car-seat, but I'm sure other people have delved into that already.

Sigh. We spent a lot of $ on this stroller. I have to give it just 2 stars because it fails at its key purpose, which is enabling an infant and a toddler to share a stroller.

LOVE THIS STROLLER!!!!2008-10-24
I absolutely love this stroller! I read all the reviews and did research on a variety of strollers and I definitely picked the best one for us. I have a three year old and one year old and the Joovy is awesome. My three year old loves that he can either sit or "take a ride". One review said that the front seat doesn't lay all the way back and although this is true, it does lean back more than I thought it would. My daughter that is one and rides in the front has taken a nap in there easily but may be difficult for smaller infants. I did not use the infant carrier b/c my little one is bigger but perhaps that is the answer for that issue. Overall, I love this stroller and can't find one thing that I don't like about it. It is very well made, easily to fold, and my new best friend!

great2008-10-09
This is a great stroller. It's not too big or bulky and manoeuvers really well. My kids love it.
Good fot two!2008-10-08
This sroller is great. It is easy to push and turns easily in small spots. My only concern is that there isn't a lot of head room for the child sitting in the back, when you are using the car seat attachment (and a car seat) up front.

A Good Birth, A Safe Birth: choosing and having the childbirth experience you want
Eight years ago, when the first edition of this book was published, we told you that the two trends in childbirth were moving in opposing directions. They still are. One trend is the growing number of hospitals providing homelike accommodations, including Jacuzzis and microwaves, plus the more than 140 out-of-hospital birth centers (with more than 40 in the works), which numbered in the dozens only a few years ago. The other trend is high-tech childbirth. We've had routine IVs, labor induction, and cesareans for years. Now there's a growing emphasis on tests and procedures of all kinds. It starts early in many parts of the country, with pregnant women of all ages being encouraged to undergo prenatal testing. It continues with the use of the electronic fetal monitor (EFM) during labor for 75 percent of women (and before labor for some), as well as the ubiquitous ultrasound offered routinely in at least three ...
A Father's Role is Important All Year Long
by Debbie Wilburn While we celebrate fathers once a year on Father's Day, many people take fathers for granted the rest of the year. However, the father's role in families is an important one, and contributes to the growth and development of both the father and his children. A father's influence continues across the generations. Fathers have the opportunity to rethink their own father-child relationship, put that into a mature perspective, and parent their own children in a way that contributes positively to the children's growth and development. Recent research is an important reminder of just how significant fathers can be on a day-to-day basis. For years researchers concentrated on the mother's role in the family. However, within the last fifteen years, an increasing amount of research has been conducted on the father's role. From this research, investigators have concluded that the father's role is an important one that has a profound influence on the social, em ...
