Good little player
2008-10-11In a nutshell, this is a decent player with a lot of nice features. Some of the people complaining about the touch screen changing the volume or advancing the track to the next one don't really understand how it works. there's a hold button on the side that when activated won't allow any changes to the face. It's that simple!!!! When you need to change something, flip the hold switch back, make your change, then put hold back on. It has good sound and can hold plenty. I will say the USB connector doesn't fit in all USB drives where they are on your computer. The wide faceplate may not allow it to connect on some slots. One of mine didn't fit, but an auxiliary one did OK. Something to think about if you only have one USB slot. No, it's not an iPod, but this model I got from My Coke Rewards was FREE !!! You can't beat that !!

Small and lightweight, but buttons too easy to push.
2008-08-23I was all excited when this order arrived and it works great as long as you leave the "hold" switch on. If you accidentally bump it, it'll skip to the next recording. I use it to download teleclasses and listen while I drive. Works well for what I need, but if I went back I would choose a different MP3 player. Something that's less touchy.

YP-U3JQB very cool
2008-07-06Very nice system. The touch based controls are nice, but do make it difficult at the gym when I want to change the volume. I think the hold button might be designed a bit better. Great sound and contols beyond those very minor complaints.

Good , Simple,functionable..
2008-06-28This is a good MP3 player , It is simple to use . It plugs right into my Laptop and I can click and sync music right away in Windows Media Player. The downside is the player when I am running or working out the sound cuts out because the connection to the headphones is a piece of crap.If you are buying an MP3 player for running or anything that is gonna be jostle the cord around very much don't buy this player.

Excellent Choice
2008-06-28I have had this mp3 player for a few weeks now and really love it. Like another
reviewer I use Ubuntu Linux; but for me this player works perfectly with the
Amarok software. As others have noted this device is not a flash drive, so if
that is what you want get something else.
Pluses:
Good sound. Very cheap! FM radio works great (I live in a city).
Plays ogg vorbis -- most of my music is in this format.
Built-in USB connector is great -- no batteries/charger no USB cable.
Did I mention CHEAP.
Minuses:
I wish it were 4Gb. I didn't like the earbuds it came with, but I
bought a pair I like.
Mixed:
It is quite small and light -- I like this; it fits in a shirt pocket;
other reviewers found this problematic.
It uses MTP rather than a VFAT file system (like flash devices). This
is why it can't be used as a flash drive with windows. It needs some
software to work like Amarok or RhythmBox under linux.
