The Ringboxx brings fun and entertainment along with distinctive ringtones to landline telephones. Choose from thousands of ringtones you can associate with different phone numbers. Like Psycho for your mother-in-law, or mafia father for those pesky telemarketers. The patent pending technology allows users with Caller ID to associate specific phone numbers with individual phone numbers. If you don't have Caller ID, or just don't want to assign ringtones to specific callers, simply select the All Play mode in the preferences section of your software. This feature allows your Ringboxx to cycle through all the ringtones in your library. With the Ringboxx you can also set your preferences to recognize 1-800 numbers. No longer do you have to guess if it's a telemarketer calling. You can choose between assigning them specific ringtones to add some entertainment to the intrusion, or silence them altogether. The Ringboxx comes fully equipped with the ability to store approximately ten (10) distinct ringtones. Insert the optional SD card and the Ringboxx become virtually limitless allowing you to store hundreds of ringtones. The Ringboxx features a quality speaker along with a volume control that allows you to determine how loud you want your ringtones. Using the up and down arrows on the front of the box, set the volume that's just right for you. And for people who are looking for more, just plug in the optional speakers (not included) and amplify your experience to a whole new level. WARNING: Don't buy this if you like to customize your ringtones.2008-12-28
You cannot create custom ringtones.

All you can do is purchase somewhat cheesy ringtones off their website for additional money.

If you have custom ringtones on your cell phone, and you'd like to have them at home, KEEP LOOKING.

The early promotional literature mentioned that you could customize your ringtone, but they must have removed that option so you HAVE to spend more money with them.

Also, look at all the positive feedback. They all seem to be located in the same city as the company.
Worked great at first, then broke, No phone Customer Support2008-12-03
The Ringboxx worked perfectly for about 4 to 5 months, then it stopped working. I emailed SUPPORT because there was NOT a phone number listed anywhere on the website. I have played email tag with one of the support people for weeks, and still have not received any answers on how to fix it. Being somewhat of a computer geek, I tried everything logical to do to make it work, but it does not. It powers-up with the correct lights burning, but when the phone rings, it does not play anything. As of today, I emailed the company to ask for a tech support TELEPHONE NUMBER. The warrenty is for 90 days, so I'm out of the money. It is a GREAT idea, but if it inoperative and there is no phone tech support, you would be better off to buy a telephone with built in ring tones. "If" I hear from tech support, I will make another post and add a few more stars.

Our family has loved having custom songs for each caller to our home phone. It is very useful knowing who is calling before you get up to go to the phone. We set a specific tune for any caller that we don't know, which is an easy way to screen unwanted solicitations. Our kids have had fun putting their favorite tunes with their friend's calls. It's a great product that has worked without a flaw. I highly recommend the product. You will love the extra flare it brings to all your incoming calls.
Entertaining and Works Great!2008-01-24
Easy to set up and use and the on-line ringtone store that comes with the product gives you access to a wide selection of good ringtones that are reasonably priced. We assigned unique ringtones to all the people who call us the most and now we know who is calling without having to drop what we are doing and go over to look at the caller ID on the phone. Plus, we chose ringtones that match each person's personality so it's fun to get calls and hear the phone ring. Great product! Lots of fun!
A "Must Have" for Every Home Phone!!!2008-01-16
We purchased this product strictly as a home entertainment device and have not been disappointed. Considering that our cell phone ringtones cost between $3-$5 to purchase, we find the price of HPT's ringtones to be reasonable. In addition, the fact that record company manufacturers don't allow transfer of downloads is probably what prevents the company from offering them outside of their library which by the way, seems very extensive to us. Yeah, it would be great to be able to dowload the ringtones from your cell phone to the Ringboxx but then you would incur a tranfer fee from your cell phone company.

All in all, we love the utility of the product. If you are a stay-at-home mom or someone working from the home, the Ringboxx is a fantastic time saving device. Having customized ringtones for friends, family members, unwanted "800" callers allows me the freedom to decide whether or not I need to stop what I'm doing and take that call. Not to mention, the ringtones are so much more entertaining than the standard phone ringtones. The Ringboxx is fun, it's convenient and affordable. Your kids will love it, too!!!
