Product Description:
SanDisk is proud to announce their newest format to the SD memory card family: Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) This 4 GB capacity memory card is rated Class 2 for speed and performance based on SD 2.0 specifications. The SDHC memory card is a highly secure stamp-sized flash memory card, which can be used in a variety of digital products: digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs (HPCs), digital cameras, digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books, that follows the SD 2.00 specifications. The SDHC card has a security feature for protection of copyrighted data. What is SDHC? To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications - which supports 4 GB and up - is called Secure Digital High Capacity(SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. Details on the SD 2.0 specification:SDHC Cards address data (read and write) at numerous speeds. Many factors impede this performance. SDHC guarantees a minimum read and write speed necessary to handle recording high quality video and audio. The maximum card speed may vary, but you can always depend on SDHC cards to meet your SDHC host product's high quality performance requirements. SDHC Compatibility Information Because SDHC works differently (supports the new higher capacity cards) this new card format is not backwards compatible with legacy SD format host devices.

Customer Reviews

good buy for the price
2010-08-11This is a great card for the price - high capacity and it works in several different cameras. My only quarrel with it was that shipping took longer than stated when I placed the order and the disc did not come in time for my vacation -- it arrived 5 days after I left. So, if you need it quickly, pay for the expedited shipping.

Great price for a stable product.
2010-08-08I suppose since these are so cheap, people are bound to have problems with them. I guess I'm just lucky to not have any. I use this for my digital camera, and even on the highest resolution and highest quality shots, I can still take hundreds and hundreds of pictures. I'm glad I bought this.

Sandisk SD card
2010-06-24The SD card came new and was cheap. It was delivered before my camera actually. Anyway, the product is good and I would buy from the seller again.

It works, enough said.
2010-06-02What can I say. Card works perfectly in the game camera I got it for.
I did have to upgrade the firmware for my SanDisk multicard reader to accept the 4.0 GB card, but this is a function of the reader, not the memory card it self

Great product
2010-02-10This is pretty straight forward. It's nice to have this much storage, especially when taking videos.

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot.
There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them.
When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...

VHS
The VHS format is the oldest type of camcorder. This type of video camcorder
is fast becoming outdated, because you can only play back
the video on a VHS VCR system. VHS
camcorders are not nearly as clear as digital

VHS video cameras only offer 240 lines of resolution. They also weigh more
and are much more bulky, that dv camcorders. You can only find these video
camera used because their technology is now outdated.
VHS-C
The VHS-C format offer 240 lines of resolution, just like VHS. These analog
camcorders come in a smaller size that the VHS camcorder models, but use
the same technology. The video tapes u ...
