Details on the SD 2.0 specification:SDHC Cards address data (read and write) at numerous speeds. Many factors impede this performance. SDHC guarantees a minimum read and write speed necessary to handle recording high quality video and audio. SDHC Compatibility Information Because SDHC works differently (supports the new higher capacity cards) this new card format is not backwards compatible with legacy SD format host devices.

This is a great card for the price - high capacity and it works in several different cameras. My only quarrel with it was that shipping took longer than stated when I placed the order and the disc did not come in time for my vacation -- it arrived 5 days after I left. So, if you need it quickly, pay for the expedited shipping.

I suppose since these are so cheap, people are bound to have problems with them. I guess I'm just lucky to not have any. I use this for my digital camera, and even on the highest resolution and highest quality shots, I can still take hundreds and hundreds of pictures. I'm glad I bought this.

I did have to upgrade the firmware for my SanDisk multicard reader to accept the 4.0 GB card, but this is a function of the reader, not the memory card it self
