Works2009-06-30
Works as advertised, plug n' play on both PC and Mac. Feels a little cheap.
What the Doctor Ordered!2009-06-28
The technology on my desktop, even though it is less that two years old, is behind the curve. (Who am I kidding - it was behind the curve before it came off the assembly line after I ordered it.) I had the multiple card reader installed as part of the package and it worked fine - until the HD cards started showing up - then - No Joy! Looking around for another Kingston product was my first choice, something that wasn't expensive, that would read the new HD cards as well as be backward compatible with the older card formats. This one is it. Inexpensive, easy to use, will read and do everything the product details say it will. Hence, all the stars. Good value. Does what it promises. Gets me updated just a bit more. And now I can enjoy all the movies and pictures I took of my beautiful grandchildren.
works great for me2009-06-28
Easy to use, works great, reads anything I've tried (but see that review about 8GB & 16GB).
Great Product2009-06-26
Great product. Fits most any memory card that you might have. I know I have a memory card for the digital picture fame and my camera, each have different memory cards, yet I can use this card reader with both. What could be better since it seems that everything has memory cards now a days, and why should we have to buy a separate card reader for each one.

It is also small and compact so it doesn't take much room on the desk.
just a piece of junk2009-06-21
I bought this card reader to read my 4,8 and 16 GB CF cards that I use in my Canon 5D and 40D Digital Camera's.When I received the first one,the reader would only read the 8GB card and not the 4 or 16GB.
I emailed Kingston, they made me pay to have it shipped back to CA. (from PA) and then when the replacement came it was the same thing. The reader could not see the 4 or 16GB cards.
This is truly a piece of junk to use with my RiData 233x CF cards.I do not own any Kingston cards, but for $15.00 dollars and a lot of wasted time, the next thing it's going to read is the love notes on the inside of my garbage pail.

Finding the Right Digital Camera
By Dave Etchells Finding the Right Digital Camera The overall goal of the Imaging Resource website (www.imaging-resource.com) is to help people chose and use digital imaging technology as effectively as possible. As simple as they are to use, choosing the right digital camera involves a number of decisions. Key issues are computing platform, image quality, onboard image capacity, exposure versatility, feature set, and included software. In this article, we'll lead you step-by-step through some of the issues to consider in making a purchase decision, and at the same time, suggest some things to look for in the test images we've collected on our website. We're interested in your feedback and experience! We invite you to elaborate on this article by leaving comments via the database link at the bottom of the page. You can also give feedback in our "Forum" discussion-group section. Computing Platform This is an obvious consideration but it is fast becoming less of an issue than it o ...
Driving with a cell phone is a lot less dangerous than driving on prescription drugs
There's a lot of debate today about the safety of using cell phones while driving. Statistics show that those who use cell phones while driving cause a much greater percentage of accidents than those who avoid using their cell phones. And the studies have shown that it's not just the physical coordination required to punch numbers into the cell phone while you're trying to work the vehicle that causes accidents; it's actually the lack of attention resulting from driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. It seems that when you're distracted, you're more likely to cause accidents. In terms of public safety, it's probably correct to say that banning cell phones would reduce the number of traffic accidents. But I think, more accurately, it depends on the person. Some people are operating on, shall we say, lower power CPUs in their heads to begin with. They might be zoned out on prescription drugs, and when you add a cell phone to the equation, they do become a danger to the ...
