Product Description:
This telephoto zoom lens is designed with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology while retaining compactness and lightness, in response to demands of photographers. This high zoom ratio lens is equivalent to a focal length of 88-400mm in the 35mm format (when used on Canon EOS cameras compatible with EF-S lenses), and the image stabilizer effect equivalent to a shutter speed about 4 stops faster than the same size lens without Image Stabilizer. In other words, if the slowest shutter speed you could formerly hold a 250mm lens steadily was 1/250th of a second, with Canon's 4-stop stabilization correction, you could hand-hold at shutter speeds as slow as 1/15th of a second. It also uses a UD-glass lens element to correct chromatic aberration for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range. This new EF-S telephoto lens with great features delivers excellent performance at an affordable price for all photographers.

Totally satisfied
2009-07-01After reading many reviews that nitpicked on image quality and long-term EF-S resell value, I was apprehensive about purchasing this instead of a more expensive lens. I finally relented and got this lens. I'm totally satisfied. Image quality is great, AF is fast, I can't complain. I'm happy to report I don't regret getting this budget zoom at all! I use it on a Rebel T1i.

Great lens for bright days
2009-06-22This is a super lens for outdoor sunny days. I just wish it was a little faster but that would cost a lot more.

Best lens at this price range!
2009-06-19I recently bought this lens and was really impressed with the quality of images. This is a great zoom lens and a very good addition to your lens collection. I find the build quality very good, as opposed to some of the reviews in here. The image stabilization comes in handy, as well. You cannot go wrong with this lens, at this price. I would highly recommend this.

Core 2 Duo Scaling
Laptop Scaling
Intel's Core 2 Duo is easily the best mobile processor on the market today, boasting sky-high performance and low power consumption. But which CPU is for you: the super expensive T7600, the bargain-priced T5500, or something in between?
This article will first take a look at the various versions of Core 2 Duo that Intel has to offer. We will compare Core 2 Duo clocked at four speed grades: 2.33GHz, 2.16GHz, 2GHz, and 1.83GHz in a variety of benchmarks and let you know how to get your best bang for the buck.
Note: We will refer to a Core 2 Duo “T7000multiple times in this article. We were unable to get a Merom sample with 2MB L2 cache, thus we lowered the clock speed of our 4MB L2 model to 1.83GHz to perform near that of the T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 cache), resulting in our unofficial “T7000nomenclature.

The types of camcorders
If you are planning on purchasing a camcorder, you should be familiar with
the types of camcorders and how they can benefit your specific needs. The
formats of video cameras include, VHS, VHS-C,

its pros and cons
VHS
The VHS format is the oldest type of camcorder. This type of video camcorder
is fast becoming outdated, because you can only play back
the video on a VHS VCR system. VHS
camcorders are not nearly as clear as digital
video camcorders that offer clear video with 540 lines of resolution,
VHS video cameras only offer 240 lines of resolution. They also weigh more
and are much more bulky, that dv camcorders. You can only find these video
camera used because their technology is now outdated.
VHS-C
The VHS-C format offer 240 lines of resolution, just like VHS. These analog
camcorders come in a smaller size that the VHS camcorder models, but use
the same technology. The video tapes u ...
