Vary bad sound
2008-11-22Good video, but sound really ugly. Speakers are useless - 1950 telephone was producing better sound. There is no way to adjust sound characteristics (bass/treble), or I was not able find the way of doing this after month of experimenting. Average $20 CD player has at least "bass boost", not sating about more sophisticated tuning (especially Sony products).
Fortunately, I have full drawer of headphones, and I was able to select one that provides good compromise between low and end.

Very sharp Portable DVD Player from Sony
2008-11-20The Sony Portable DVD player is a very sharp-looking product with excellent image and sound. After much research, I think I made the right purchase!

GREAT Portable DVD
2008-11-19I purchased this dvd player in both red and white and am VERY impressed with it - especially for the price. The screen is great and large enough, very clear and sharp resolution. The cases are a pretty color and the battery life was also great. I watched a movie for 3 hours and only 1 of the 3 battery life bars was gone. I love the swivel feature and the ability to fold it up! Highly recommend!! Also - a LIFE SAVER for a 21 month old on a plane. Hello Little Einsteins and Backyardigans...

Perfect portable dvd player
2008-11-18I just received this dvd player in the mail about 2 hours ago (which consequently came very fast, and it was free shipping through amazon) and I couldn't be happier; the picture quality is great and the sound is great to. I bought this as a gift for my wife and I know she will love it. I originally wasn't planning on spending this much ($150.00) for a portable dvd player but after reading the reviews on cheaper models and comparing to the more high end I thought that might be a mistake and I didn't want to throw my money away on something that might not last long. I am very particular about what I spend my money on, especially when in comes to electronics, and I did a ton of research before I made the decision to buy this dvd player. If you are in the market for a portable dvd player I would definitely recommend this product. I just finished watching a movie on it and it was great.

I love this DVD player!!
2008-11-17This DVD is small so it is easy to travel with and the screen is big enough to see easily. Great price, too.

Core 2 Duo Scaling
Laptop Scaling
Intel's Core 2 Duo is easily the best mobile processor on the market today, boasting sky-high performance and low power consumption. But which CPU is for you: the super expensive T7600, the bargain-priced T5500, or something in between?
This article will first take a look at the various versions of Core 2 Duo that Intel has to offer. We will compare Core 2 Duo clocked at four speed grades: 2.33GHz, 2.16GHz, 2GHz, and 1.83GHz in a variety of benchmarks and let you know how to get your best bang for the buck.
Note: We will refer to a Core 2 Duo “T7000multiple times in this article. We were unable to get a Merom sample with 2MB L2 cache, thus we lowered the clock speed of our 4MB L2 model to 1.83GHz to perform near that of the T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 cache), resulting in our unofficial “T7000nomenclature.
The Core 2 Duo Processor
Intel has two lines of Core 2 Duo processors: notebook and desktop. Core 2 Duo for notebooks is codenamed Merom, while Core ...
Camera basics: shutter-speed, aperture and ISO
In this article, I’ll introduce you to the basic elements that you can use to control exposure in your shooting. If you have a digital SLR, there will be a way to set all of these controls on your camera, but since they differ between manufacturers and models, you’ll need to refer to your camera’s manual to find out exactly how to change them.
All cameras, whether an ancient film camera, or a more modern digital, work in pretty much the same way. Photographs are taken by letting light fall onto a light-sensitive medium, which records the image. Traditionally, this has been film, but more recently, it tends to be a digital sensor. The more light that falls onto the film or sensor, the lighter the image.
Put simply, a camera consists of a light-tight box that stores a light-sensitive device (either a film or a digital sensor), a lens that magnifies and focuses the image onto that light-sensitive device through a hole in the box (called the aperture) , and a shutter that opens ...
