Sony Under-Cabinet CD/Clock Radio2010-03-19
I read a lot of the previous reviews and was apprehensive due to some negative comments. But I bought the unit based on the Sony name... and am very pleased, was NOT disappointed. I did not experience any of the negative incidents that were reported. The installation went smoothly, no problems encountered (except to empty the cupboard above). The reception is super, not like that which some of the comments stated. I live in a very rural area and am able to receive 'distant' FM stations without any degradation in signal (follow instruction sheet, the antenna is in the power cord). The CD player works adequately and the sound is reproduced as good as can be expected. The unit looks very good sitting underneath the cupboard, spewing out music and news. All in all, BUY IT! It works great!
bulkier than expected2010-03-18
I bought this to replace an old under-counter clock radio. This one was a lot bigger (2x), heavier, and you have to drill holes through the cabinet to mount it.
Perfect.2010-03-18
It's great to have a radio in the kitchen. This fits nicely, looks good, and works well. Also love that I can hook the iPod so easily, to. Great item.

We like our Sony radio very much. We live about 20 miles from a larger city where most of the stations are & get great FM reception. We don't listen to AM so can't rate that.
CDs play great & the remote is handy.

" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why!
