Fantastic Intro to DSLR Photography
2008-11-26The Nikon D60 has proven to me to be a fantastic beginner's DSLR, while it can hardly be labeled a beginner's camera since it is more than capable of running with the higher models. This camera produces high quality photographs, is durabe and lightweight, with a small body. Not to mention, a small price tag.
The D60 does, however, lack some of the features that give the more expensive brands their appeal, and high price tag. To start, it has less Megapixels, which is arguably a small detail. The D60 does not have dedicated controls for ISO or white balance. It is also lacking a number of focus points, compared to the D90 or D300.
For a beginner in the field the D60 has everything you need. The difference in quality between the D60 and it's higher level counterparts is only noticeable if you have already mastered the art of digital photography and would like to take it to the next level. I would not recommend a beginner purchase much higher than a D60, as it may just be a waste of valuable money that could be put towards a longer lens.
This pairing includes the Nikkor 55-200mm VR, an excellent starter telephoto for wildlife shooting, and a terrific all-around zoom lens for everyday photography.
This model has proven to me to be a tough and dependable camera, as I have dropped it on the ground and worst of all, fell in to a stream in Yosemite National Park with it around my neck. I dried the camera off and it worked like new.
If you would like to see what kind of photographs I have shot with my D60, check out my photostream on Flickr.com. Just look for Nick Chill!
Enjoy!

Nikon D60 digital SLR camera w/ 18-55 AF_S Zoom and 55-200 Af-S Zoom
2008-06-21I bought my Nikon D-60 from Cameta Camera over a month ago. I am very happy with the service that I received. After I received confirmation from Cameta, I had a quest to e-mail them after hours. I was so surprised that I received an e-mailed response the next morning.
The camera works excellently. I received everything that was advertised. My camera was securely packaged. I had ten days to make sure that the camera was not defective and I could receive an addition 4 year warranty on my lenses from nikon if I sent in a postcard to the office (this comes with your camera and lens) of which I took advantage of.
I called Cameta to ask about the warranty. They were very courteous and friendly. They answered all of my questions and told me that they are a dealer for Nikon. I saw their name on the Nikon Website.
Over all I am happy with the purchase of my camera. My friend who is a professional photographer was happy with its performance too, as he is a Nikon camera lover.
The camera is easy to use, set up and operate. I am very happy with my purchase.

The VHS format is the oldest type of camcorder. This type of video camcorder

the video on a VHS VCR system. VHS
