Rescue Me - The Complete Fourth Season

I loved the first season -- sharp, funny, serious and outlandish all at the same time. The second season was a bit uneven, but still quite well done.

Cracks started to appear in the third season. Storylines became uneven, and the plot just lurched from arc to arc. I was hoping that it was just a glitch, and that the 4th season would put things back on the right track.

Well, the train went off the rails. Season 4 was a huge disappointment. Edgy comedy has been replaced with soap opera hi-jinks; the writing seems to have come out of a high school drama class at times. So sad to see such a promising show hit the skids.

We are still hooked after the Fourth Season! Fabulous show, sucks you in and never lets you go!

This years' series is not as good as previous years. Bought it thinking that it would be.

After watching the previous seasons, I couldnt wait for number four, in actuality, I could have waited for number four!
The series seems to be going the way of all series that lose their way after a few seasons..(ala the Sopranos), the writers need to go back to review what made the series a success in seasons one through three.
Dont get me wrong,if you like Denis Leary, you can tolerate this season, but there needs to be a five alarm wake up call for the writers!!!

the basic story line is enjoyable if you have followed it from the beginning. The DVD does not have closed captioning which makes it difficult for the hard of hearing.
