Great, Pocket-Portable Protective Little Bag
2008-11-23I bought this at the same time I bought my new Canon SD870 IS. I was especially interested in the screen protecting hard EVA plastic backbone, as my previous pocket camera had bitten the dust when I was walking with it in my front pocket and my leg bumped into a chair, resulting in a shattered screen.
I have yet to bump into anything with this camera, but if I do I'm sure my camera will be fine. The case is strong, yet still small enough to easily slip in and out of my pocket when needed.
The storage pouch feature is nice as well - I keep an extra battery tucked in there just in case.
Over all, a great looking, inexpensive product that does what it needs to do: keep my camera safe and always with me.

snug as a bug in a rug
2008-11-18The reason I was searching for a good camera case is because the magnet on my old one caused the battery to die. I wanted something cute, fashionable, easy, and fun. This is all of that and more! I don't have to worry one bit about dropping my camera while it is in this case. The hard plastic back gives me that security. I do, however, have to agree with another user of this case... It is very difficult to get your camera in and out quickly because it is as snug as a bug in a rug in that camera case. Another concern that I have about the case is that the strap looks a bit flimsy. It may not last for very long, but it is still very useful. I'm really happy that I went with this case because it looks exactly like the picture and it is safe for my camera and its just so cute!

Will not fit Canon A590is
2008-11-12Though this is offered as a recommended accessory on the page containing the canon a590is. The case is way too small.

Looks nice but....too small for cameras!
2008-09-26...I thought this was a cute camera bag, so I purchased it when I got my Canon PowerShot A590IS. Well!! I can barely get my iPod in there, which is about 1/3 of an inch thick. My camera is better that 1.5 inches at the thickest point. With the hard plastic 'backbone', there's just not enough give. I had to get something quite a bit bigger. Indeed, that I had to return this one contributed to the low rating.

Excellent protection for camera
2008-09-24The solid backing and soft interior provide the protection I want for my camera and screen. Good size for my Canon Powershot SD870. Hoodie part is nice for extra storage. As someone mentioned it takes a few seconds to get your camera out, but any case is going to delay reaction time.

The types of camcorders
If you are planning on purchasing a camcorder, you should be familiar with
the types of camcorders and how they can benefit your specific needs. The
formats of video cameras include, VHS, VHS-C,
8mm, Hi8, Mini Digital Video (Mini DV), DVD and Digital 8. Each format has
its pros and cons
VHS
The VHS format is the oldest type of camcorder. This type of video camcorder
is fast becoming outdated, because you can only play back
the video on a VHS VCR system. VHS
camcorders are not nearly as clear as digital
video camcorders that offer clear video with 540 lines of resolution,
VHS video cameras only offer 240 lines of resolution. They also weigh more
and are much more bulky, that dv camcorders. You can only find these video
camera used because their technology is now outdated.
VHS-C
The VHS-C format offer 240 lines of resolution, just like VHS. These analog
camcorders come in a smaller size that the VHS camcorder models, but use
the same technology. The video tapes u ...
Digital cameras are good for the environment
As we consider the digital camera revolution that has taken place over the last decade, most people think about it in terms of enhanced benefits for consumers. We can take a lot more pictures at much lower cost with digital cameras versus film cameras. We can also more easily manipulate and share those photos since they're all in the digital realm.
But one thing many people don't think about actually deserves mention as potentially the most profound effect of the digital camera revolution: how digital cameras greatly reduce the destructive impact on the environment compared to film cameras.
At first, you might think, "How can that be? My film camera didn't harm the environment!" Even though it wasn't your camera that harmed the environment, your film processing did indeed harm it. Any time you take your pictures to a photo processing center, that film is run through batches of chemicals. These chemicals are environmental hazards, and once they are used to process film, those chem ...
