Do Not Ignore What You're Reading!!! Like I Did!!
2008-12-03These are not new!! They are just loose in a pre-fab box. The manual looks used, the power cord looks used, and the headset didn't work. The buttons were already shot when I got it and the Volume Up didn't work at all. I don't know how Amazon can get away with lying and saying these are new. You've been warned!

Nifty product, horrible quality
2008-12-01I'm returning my second S9 today, the first was DOA and this one won't allow the volume to be adjusted up, right out of the box.
It's a pity, the S9 looks like it'd be an incredible gizmo but Motorola has forgotten that, no matter how cool the product is, it needs to work.
Spend your money on something else, there's no hope here.

Great Product
2008-12-01This is a great bluetooth. I recently bought a Samsung Intinct Phone which has a built in MP3 player. With this bluetooth, I can listen to my music and when a call comes in it pauses the music so I can take my call. When I end my call, the music continues.

NOT BAD FOR THE MONEY
2008-11-29PURCHASED OVER THE COUNTER AT STAPLES
I've had these headphones for a couple days now. The charging and battery life seem ok. The package comes with charger and two other sets of earbuds (small & large) it is factory packed with MED earbuds already on the headphones.
The pairing with my T-mobile DASH was seamless and trouble free. The "streaming audio" quality is much better than I expected and the controls (so far) feel firm and tactile.
While not reference "audiophile" quality, they deliver decent bass, mid-tone and peak responses (Copeland's "fanfare for common man" and U2 "zoostation" are great tests of this for me). I have a large noggin- so I put the large ear pieces on, and they fit comfortably, and block out external noises quite well.
Phone calls are heard out of the left ear (BY DESIGN!), because the "microphone" is actually in the right earpiece- this will take some getting used to because I got used to having "stereo phone" (mono in both ears) conversations with the original wired set of headphones that comes with the phone. For a few calls, the distant end said they could hear me well with no echo or delay.
The distance issue: I cannot be more satisfied with. Certainly held sound quality up to and just beyond the 10-15 feet Bluetooth PAN specs (in residential concrete and wood home).
DOWNSIDE: The "inside ear" microphone does NOT support voice dial very well (at least with T-mobile). But to fair, T-mobile dash (WM6) voice command is sketchy alone, so I cannot say definitively that the VOICE COMMAND "problems" I have with this combo are due to the S9 headphones (alone).
OVERALL: SATISFIED, good controls, easy to use controls from both phone and audio. Poor VOICE COMMAND capability.

S-9 Blue Tooth headset
2008-11-25This item has turned out to be totaly unsatisfactory. I purchased it to replace a traditional Blue Tooth ear unit because the ear piece doesn't stay in my ear due to head motion in my work. It takes the S-9 only about an hour before it starts chirping, indicating the battery is getting low. It is totally dead before lunch time. My old blue tooth would last 12-14 hours.
