A Step Backwards2009-06-27
When my C4280 quit after two years use, I was looking for another HP printer that would use the same ink cartridges that I had in stock. That the C4480 does, and the printer is O.K. if you want to scan & print at the same size as the original, but unlike the C4280, whose on screen method for reducing & enlarging the scanned image was simple and reliable, the C4480's procedure for reducing and enlarging(or changing the darkness) of the scanned image was unwieldy and incomprehensible, and when I tried, the amount of reduction was not consistent or what I expected.
I should have thought to look and see if any Amazon 3rd party sellers had new C4280 units(the 2007 model). As it turns out, there are plenty of brand new C4280's to be had, and I just ordered one. The C4480 was a waste of money.
A decent printer for its price2009-06-21
This is a decent printer for its price. It works as advertised. I don't experience any paper jams reported in other reviews - maybe it's because I'm only printing a few pages at a time.
FIXED INCOME LOOKING FOR AN INEXPENSIVE WAY!2009-06-17
I AM ON A FIXED INCOME & USE MY COMPUTER & PRINTER ON A DAILY BASIS FOR MY WEB SITE [...] THE NEW HP C4480 IS FASTER & MORE EFFICIENT TO OPERATE WITH MUCH CHEAPER INK CARTRIDGES THAN MY OLD HP. I FINALLY FOUND A GOOD ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER THAT IS GREAT. AMAZON IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR THE BEST DEALS & NO S&H AS WELL. I CHECKED THIS PRINTER OUT ON SEVERAL WEB SITES & AMAZON WAS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE OUTLET. I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM WHEN EVER I NEED ANYTHING!

GO AMAZON!
Inexcusably Bug-ridden2009-06-09
Jams often, hard to clear, loses 'communication' with my Mac desktop, needs to be unplugged and reset, and the expensive black ink cartridges run out faster than my patience with a radio talk-show.

As others have declared, I got it as a free bonus, and so I got my money's worth.
Piece of Junk (Can't even give one star)2009-06-05
Would have said crap honestly
I hate this thing so much

here is typical scenario

"Out of paper" (No..it isn't) try to "help paper load...
"Paper Jam"

Start over

"Out of paper"
"Paper Jam"
"Out of paper"
"Paper Jam"

COMPLETELY FROZEN WON'T DO ANYTHING

I'd like to have a WORD with HP

but it came with my computer

Audio & Video Connections Guide
" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why! Driving with a cell phone is a lot less dangerous than driving on prescription drugs
There's a lot of debate today about the safety of using cell phones while driving. Statistics show that those who use cell phones while driving cause a much greater percentage of accidents than those who avoid using their cell phones. And the studies have shown that it's not just the physical coordination required to punch numbers into the cell phone while you're trying to work the vehicle that causes accidents; it's actually the lack of attention resulting from driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. It seems that when you're distracted, you're more likely to cause accidents. In terms of public safety, it's probably correct to say that banning cell phones would reduce the number of traffic accidents. But I think, more accurately, it depends on the person. Some people are operating on, shall we say, lower power CPUs in their heads to begin with. They might be zoned out on prescription drugs, and when you add a cell phone to the equation, they do become a danger to the ...
