Fabulous scent, strong, and so useful in the bathroom, kitchen, and in the summer
2008-10-21We don't have kids--no babies in this house. But I've used Huggies wipes for years, and my home is never without several pop-up boxes (and refills in the linen closet).
Why?
Well, there's the bathroom hygiene aspect. I like feeling fresh and clean between showers, and I use Huggies wipes, either in this marvelous light Lavender scent, or in the regular lightly scented version, or the Cucumber and Green tea (slightly cloying after a while, but not bad) whenever I'm done with nature's assorted call. I also use them to wipe up stray hairs and makeup powder from the sink and floor. No toxicity and strong enough to wipe up spilled foundation liquid on a countertop. Helps me keep the bathroom sink, faucet, bathtub rim, and counters decent between cleanings. Grab, wipe, toss...done.
As someone with sensitive skin, I started with Huggies sensitive formula, thinking that was safer. But I love this particular scent--very clean, refreshing--and I find it doesn't irritate my "delicate" skin.
The pop-up is convenient (though you get more bang for your buck with the non-pop-up refills.) These are thick, handy, and do the job, if ya know what I mean. And on hot days when I'm running errands in killer Miami humidity and heat, I like to carry some in my purse (in a ziplock bag) in order to wipe my my neck and other sweaty bits as needed. Instant pick-me-up!
I also keep a box near the kitchen, cause I can quickly wipe stuff up without the stink or caustic agents in a lot of the cleaning wipes out there for kitchens.
These are indispensable on picnics, too. Especially if you have messy finger foods--like ribs or buffalo chicken wings or chocolate.
These are also part of our hurricane supply, along with water, canned food, boxed juices, batteries, and snack foods. When power goes out in Florida in the summer, it's good to have a quick "wipe off dirt and sweat" option between unheated showers.
I wish that the "green" wipes had the soft, thick feel and fabulous scents of the Huggies. Unfortunately, so far, the green wipes suck. Maybe Huggies will consider going green.
Great wipes.

2008-07-29Nice light scent on these great baby wipes!
We love the large mega packs. These are hard to find at regular
stores, I don't know why. Amazon offers a good price.

Recommended Fat Burning Index numbers
The Fat Burning Index is calculated by the formula taking into account the ratio carb:fat:protein. For different purposes, the Fat Burning Index can be different. Generally, the meaning of it is the following.Every macro-nutrient: fat, carbohydrate, or protein interact differently with two major hormones regulating fat burning and fat storing - insulin and glucagon. Carbohydrate is totally 'fat storing' nutrient and most potent insulin releaser. Fat is about 90% anti-insulin and pro-glucagon nutrient, and protein is roughly 50/50. To initiate fat burning, Fat Burning Index of food or meal should at least exceed 1.5, better 2. In fact, the Fat Burning Index is an adapted and inverter ketogenic ratio introduced in 1920s to design a diet for treatment of childhood epilepsy. For this purpose, the Fat Burning Index would have to be above at least 4 or 5. Cyclic ketogenic diet for bodybuilders is 75% fat, 25% protein, trace carbs.Read more about Fat Burning Index at bantadiet.com where we in ...
