Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred - Medium Box

This software works well with a USB headset attached to the computer. However I purchased it to have it transcribe from a handheld digital recorder. I invested in a unit that was specifically supported by Dragon, set it according to Dragon's specifications, and have not been able to create user files with it, and so it is useless with the device. There must be some glitch in the software at this beginning point. I have been calling and emailing support for about 6 weeks now-- and all I get is either no response or we go through steps and they cannot solve the problem or give me a work around. I have been trying to get hold of a supervisor for the past week, to no avail. So avoid this product if you anticipate the need for support, or unless you can see the future and can predict you will have no issues with getting it going....... (and if you are that good-- tell me what lottery number to play...)

This software doesn't work.
It advertises 99% accuracy, but in practice it rarely goes above 75%. Which means that it's faster for me to type things myself at 20 words per minute than to use Naturally Speaking and then correct its errors.
Also after 15 minutes of use, the program hangs. I have a Pentium Quad Core with 8 GB of RAM. The only other program running is Microsoft Word. And Naturally Speaking still crashes.
This program is nothing more than a waste of time and money.

This is an awesome product. The more training you put into the voice recognition and error correction the better it will function for you. Somewhat complicated, but expected that. Be prepared to spend some time learning how to train the interactive software to understand your dictation technique and language conventions.

and if you would pay more than $25.00 a pc. This cant wirte or/and read html, adobe, dreamweaver, or acrobat09,
this is just a type tool. To help you type faster, still has alot of not in it. Honestly you can buy windows office full Ver 2003 or 2007 for less and can do much more .!
Or Windows 7 for less and these are very over priced too for a 1 pc use or user
so please dont buy this product you are paying way more than it is worth.! is needs much more improvment. To be worth 100.00 to 200.00 per cd. this is just a rip off of freeware that they have gathered it put together made voice voice addons.And now want to ripoff there users or customers please pay no more than $25 dollers. if you do support this program windows 7 is only worth $75.00 a pc. Look at what it will do compared to this software it burns writes copys plays and runs everything you buy to run with it from hardware to software. games, movies, programs, music,
so please dont play into this rip off $100.00 to $200.00 for a programe that took all the freeware and copyrighted it so it wont be freeware anymore thus we pay at both ends,can only type dose nothing else.!everything in adobe photoshop html pictures acrobat 9.0 DVD's CD"s They dident even pay to use our A thur Z
and uperr case lower case oh forgot the big one .,/?;;""'!@#%^&*()_+ 1234567890 all freeware till they tought up this way to get you to pay them for stuff they never even thought up

PLEASE DONT BUY THIS Unless you get there very best program for $25.00 and you use your free webcam with mic oh dose it work with all cams and mics software LOL. Or just type slow ! JUST SAY NO TO RIP OFF CORP that ruin freeware for all of US.

When the software starts, I am asked to activate, which I understand. But why has it asked me now 3 times to do so, also indicating the activation limit is 5. Why am I limited to opening the software 5 times?!?!?!
