Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum Pro Pack

I love the Vegas Movie Studio 9 software. I recently purchased a Canon HF10 camcorder, which I love, but the folks at Canon aren't in tune with software that works. It's easy to bring my videos into the Vegas program and edit it. The features are marvelous and work in conjunction with Sony's DVD Architect(included)when you want to make a DVD. Also, if you need to render video for emails the Vegas has features to make things easy to send to friends and family. You can really take advantage of your AVCHD camcorder with Sony software.

I have purchased & tried various softwares on market.. this one I recommend to anyone who has some knowledge of creating projects, using timelines, tracks, media windows, project windows, etc. It can be used simply, or complex. I recommend using youtube tutorials show how's, because youtube is more hands on than sony tutorial window. Even though sony show how tutorial is very helpful, but basic. I'm impressed with my work so far... now thinking about purchasing sony vegas 8.

I have the Panasonic HDC-SD9 High Def 1080P Camcorder, and the Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9 Pro Pack is the best software package for High Def so far. the tutorial helper makes it so easy, there shouldn't be any problems learning anythinng with this software. The DVD video quality looks so clear, and I didn't do any altering to enhance the video, like brightness, contrast, etc. It detects surround sound, so all 5 audio channels show up on the screen for editing, plus add any additional audio effects.
The slow motion video effect is so cool, and was easy to learn, also there are a lot of tutorials on uTube for extra demostration. My friend has an IMAC, and has final cut Pro, the software cost him over 1100 dollars, but now he realizes that he has to get a MAC pro computer to handle the software better, and now he was trying to sell his IMAC to me with Final cut installed, told him NO THANKS. The MAC Pro will run him around 3 Grand. I have a PC that's not giving any problems, that I bought used on [...] for [...] bucks, it's a 3.2 GHZ HP, with 3gigs of memory, and I added a 256MEG video card that I only paid [...] bucks for, and I get the same results of video quality that my friend has while he's using that movie industry standard, Final Cut, and his total budget for his computer and software setup is around 2600 dollars, not including the video camera, and also he has to upgrade to a MAC pro, which will put his video budget over 4,000 dollars. I know that a PC is supposed to be inferrior to a MAC, but I'm not having that much problems with my PC since I don't use it to go on line, and look at the price difference, vs results. My video budget along with my High Def camcorder is under a grand, with money left over for lunch. I highly recomend Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9 pro pack..
And can accomplish excellent video and audio quality results.
I'm not a MAC hater, I'm just a Consumer watching my budget!

Great software. Stable, works as advertised. Maybe too much for beginners, but almost everything you would ever need for advanced home video editing.

I'm no video editing guru, however with this program i am now! Has all the features you would want to edit video, in a great easy to use package. Really great built in help features to guide you along the way. Great stuff, i'm even considering buying the pro version now.
