Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Ultimate & VideoStudio Pro X2 Bundle

After I purchased this item I found it in stores for $100 rather than the lovely $50 that was offered on Amazon. Good work! I will now be shopping on Amazon more often!

If you're running Windows 7, don't bother buying this. Great software, but does not work with Windows 7. Could get my movies edited and ready to burn, but the software could not render, nor burn to Blu-Ray. Tried Corel's patches. Tried running it in XP and Vista mode...forget it. Back to Amazon it goes and I'll but the new VideoStudio Pro-X3 for Windows 7.

I have tried other video and photo editing software before such as the Adobe programs, but they were frustrating and I couldn't get them to do what I wanted them to do. I tried Corel and was amazed at the difference! It is much more user friendly than the other programs I have used. I didn't even need to look at the manual to figure out how to do most of the stuff. I also like how there is a Movie Wizard that lets you upload your photos and will turn it into a DVD slideshow with a menu and everything within minutes!! The full video editing is really nice as it lets you do picture on picture and little animation effects and easily edit your audio as well.

I had a problem at first with getting the DVD preview to play when I was ready to burn my DVD and then it wouldn't burn it, however I just went to the Corel homepage to look at their FAQS to see if there was a problem simmilar to mine. I found out that both of those problems were related to not having the latest Direct X application, so I downloaded it (which is free of course) and in just a few minutes my problem was fixed! I could see the preview and my DVD burned successfully, coming out with a very professional look! So if you find some problems with your program I would recommend going to Corel first as it is likely they have a solution.

These programs provide a professional look that anyone can use. I was so relieved to have Corel, as I had spent 2 years trying other programs that would do what I wanted them to, only finding frustration. Corel did what I wanted and was much easier to use.

The only problem I've had so far is that during activation for the video component of the bundle, you have to enter an organization name in order to proceed with the software installation, since the other components didn't require such an input, i had to call customer support thinking something was wrong with my product key, they told me to just put the letter A in the organization field and it would let me proceed. I used my initials instead and sure enough it worked and continued installation just fine.

The whole bundle has been an exceptional value, I unfortunately haven't had enough time to get really in-depth with the video software, but as the interface and "demo" projects show, it looks great. Why pay 4-8 times the price for adobe or final cut, this software package is great for beginners and advanced users alike, you can use wizards or create your own components with professional accuracy and claims to support HD, blu-ray, and AVCHD. Again, highly recommended, I wish i could get Corel's Draw Suite for as low a price as this one (I got this on sale for $50) cause i tried the demo of that suite and it was also a great bang for the buck.

Photo Shop works like a champ. It has many of the same features as Photoshop but not all of them. It is very easy to use edit and/or correct photos. Since it's not photoshop it costs $$$$ less. I've used Video Studio for the last 6 years and I've always been impressed in how well it works. Videos are even easier to make it creates DVD's with ease.
