Small and fun and orange
2008-12-04It 4th gen Nano is a lot of fun and well designed. I love the orange--cutting edge and cool. It is small which is great mostly, but I struggle a bit with the controls. Sometimes my big fingers can't hit the right option and sometimes when moving it, I knock the volume down or up drastically. (Up can be an issue when driving down the street.)
I am not a big-time music collector, so I find that 8GB is plenty for me. I've got all the music on it plus about a dozen podcasts on it with more than half of the memory remaining.
I don't really like the standard earbuds. I've never liked earbuds. It doesn't take much for them to fall out.
All in all it's cool and I love the orange even if my teenage daughter thinks I'm too old to own anything this color.

Swift delivery of product that failed almost immediately.
2008-12-04Vender sent product as advertised in a swift manner. However, the battery failed almost immediately and would not take a charge. We will see if product support is good...

Great mp3 player
2008-12-03Bought the nano 4g purple for my daughter and she was elated. She always wanted one after 3 other brands of mp3 palyers. The coolness of the design and bright purple was beautiful. The only sad thing was that the earphones that came with it was crappy. So we bought her a pair of Skull Candy earbuds and these work fantastic with the nano. So go out and upgrade your earphones to better ones to get better sound reproduction.

Happy 16 year son!
2008-12-03I was hesitant about purchasing the newest generation of ipod nano after reading all the negative reviews, but as it turned out, my son just loves it!!! I told him I had the receipt and we could send it back if he wanted after checking it out, but he had no complaints. It works great, he loves the built in accelerometer, the shake to shuffle feature. And since he owns a macbook, charging the ipod nano is no problem. My only regret is that I didn't purchase the 16gb.

My Orange iPod nano
2008-12-03I really like my iPod nano. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, rather than 5, is because sometimes I have a hard time getting to the correct place using the circular motion to move the bar where I want it. It holds tons of music and pictures...I really, really like it!

Audio & Video Connections Guide
" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn
This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why!

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot.
There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them.
When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...
