The Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera incorporates a 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor; enhanced sensitivity up to ISO 1600; 14-bit A/D converter for incredibly smooth tones; High-ISO Noise Reduction; and a precise 9-point autofocus system. Excellent update to quality camera2009-02-10
The Canon Rebel XSi would make a wonderful addition to any photographer's equipment. Between the quality it gives you, plus the very reasonable price as compared to other top-name brands, it's a perfect balance. If you get it with a kit, like I did, you can get everything you need to go with the camera, without spending a ton of money to get it. It's very easy to handle, even with the 70-300mm zoom lens attached, and it even comes with Adobe Photoshop software to help you fix up the shots you need to improve. Overall, it's not the top-of-the-line, but for overall value and quality, it's hard to beat.

The XSi is a great camera. My only regret is trying to get more lenses for the best price. These lenses are not terrible, but they're not great. Don't expect too much from them.
