Great Product2009-05-28
This Camera is a Great piece of equipment, I use it in my Professional line of work as a wedding videographer and I have not regretted the money I spend. Video and Photo quality are excellent. The video quality is very detailed even when you record in SD I don't even bother recording at the highest quality. If you have to edit and burn to DVD forget the software that comes with the camera, it's CRAP! You need software like Power Director or Sony Vegas to do this and use software like convert X to DVD to put it on a DVD

Excellent camcorder2009-05-11
This camcorder bundle is awesome!

#1 - The video quality is excellent. Crisp and clear. I have posted a few videos on the web and have gotten nothing but positive feedback on both the audio and video. The microphone is a little on the sensitive side, but it's really something someone with a trained ear would notice. The microphone accessory jack is a solution to that problem if it becaomse a problem. The pictures are an excellent quality, too.

#2 - The bundled accessories are great with the exception of the tripod. It looks solid but is a little rickety. I had to have a second one sent to me because the first one was broken. The second tripod works, but, as I said, doesn't appear to be well made. The other accessories that came in the bundle are great! The lens assortment and extra battery are welcome additions to the kit. The camcorder bag is nice and versatile as well.

#3 - The bundled software is ok, but cumbersome. I found that using the software to copy the video file (.m2ts) to the hard drive and changing the extension from .m2ts to .mpg works well. Vista will play it just fine and any authoring software worth its salt will edit it.

I HIGHLY recommend this camera. Very intuitive. The only time I needed the instruction book was to learn some of the more advanced features.
