Bonamassa Takes John Henry's Hammer and Nails It2010-03-13
JB just keeps getting better & better. His creativity progresses more with each effort. Mixture of acoustic & electric, use of bells & other outside instrumentation just keeps him continuously adding new twists to the blues. His CDs are not stale or dull. I've already pre ordered "Black Rock" in anticipation of more new & explorative blues rock. Along with Jeff Beck, Michael katon, Joe Satriani, & jim Suhler JB keeps it coming with pride.
THE BALLAD OF JOHN HENRY2010-02-12
THIS ALBUM REALLY BLEW ME AWAY! EVERY SONG FROM START TO FINISH, ESPECIALLY THE TITLE TRACK IS AWESOME. JOE ROCKS!
Brillant Rock Blues2010-01-28
Joe's Album is Brillant from vocals to guitar work and all the way thru. As a life long music lover and guitar player I've heard some of the best from Jimmy page, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray, Jimmy Hendix and a long list of others. I think it safe to say that Joe Bonamassa is on the list of guitar greats. This ablum is well worth buying for any rock/blues or Bonamssa fans. I don't think it quite fair to compare this album to Joe's others as I think each album like a painting gives us look in to the artists life. Joe Bonamassa is the guitar playing blues great of his generation. Hearing the Les Paul guitar being played and crying out is something I've not heard like that since Jimmy Page. I'm going to look forward to seeing Joe play live. Buy the album and enjoy.
Progressive works2010-01-22
Joe B. seems to always move on. He explores some, but never leaves you thinking he's lost his soul. This guy just compliments the category of Blues in every way fashionable or unfashionable. This is my favorite cd of his(so far). He is continuing to "refine" his work, and I still think a "masterpiece" is yet to come. Don't miss him live, Wow!
BLUES-INGLY AMAZING!!2010-01-09
Oh come on!! This guy just rocks that guitar!! His voice keeps on getting better through the years. He is in his early 30s and I don't see how he could possibly get any better!! Truly a blues' genius... and will be a legend to the likes of B.B. King one day. It's his destiny.
