Canon Elph Sport APS Camera Kit

I have had this camera for a little over a year now, and it hasn't broken. For me this is saying a whole lot. I typically keep it in my backpack which goes everywhere with me. I have had beer spilled all over it at parties. Taken it to the beach. Slammed it against rocks hiking. Fallen on it skiing and it still hasn't broken. For an active 20yr old kid it can't be beat. I haven't had problems with indoor pictures as others have said. We also have used it to take pictures wakeboarding from a tube behind the boat. Where we discovered one more advantage....it floats

This is great for surf shots and i loved it out of water

Great camera, compact and good looking. It made great pictures, the downside is that it stoped working after 6 months, it began having problems that were solved by calling Canon's 800 #, I now have to send it in to be checked or replaced.

Again, it may be my bad luck, if I was rating the months it worked I would've given it 5 stars. Hope you have better luck!

Well let's see - i've taken this camera from as different environments as you can get. In the warm waters of Hawaii and Thai (hot hot and humid humid humid) to Imja Tse Peak Summit (20,300 ft) in Nepal (freezing cold and dry as a bone). This camera has taken great pictures although underwater it requires some bright bright sun as the flash isn't enough for low light levels underwater. have no complaints about this camera and i've been very rough with it. dropped many times on stone and sand by my butter fingers. definitely would recommend this camera to anyone - especially to those who lead an active lifestyle and want to have a tough camera to take on these activities. have read about the seal problems but have not experienced these problems myself but will definitely be careful to make sure the seals are clean from now on. also everyone always seems curious about the camera and seem to think it's very "cute". anyway, this camera has my complete recommendation and am getting another one for back-up after i've dropped my current one that one too many times. =)

Extremely disapointed. I just bought it and brought it with me as my only camera on my honeymoon and was unable to take any pictures with it. Dispite following all the cautions stated on the camera regarding the seal, during my first role of film while snorkeling the camera died. It appears to be extremely sensitive to water. I would not reommend this to anyone who would like to use it in the water, which is the main reason I picked this one.
