Great monitor, clear and bright2009-08-02
I used this monitor quite a while and then my kids used it. It's worked great from day one and through the years. Years ago I had two different Gateway monitors die on me, so considering the fact that this monitor still works just as well as it did the first day I bought it, I would not hesitate to buy another Envision monitor in the future.

Good Monitor...2003-04-11
I recently bought this monitor from Amazon at a great price. It is light and saves a ton of room. However, the monitor I received had an obvious defect - There is a noticable white dot on the screen that will not go away... The blemish is noticable to the naked eye and I should get a new monitor...
A Great Monitor2003-03-18
...this is a great monitor for this price range. I compared all the technical specs, prices, and reviews, and like what I saw. I love this monitor. Even though it sits at the back of my desk, because it is so small, it is clear. A big improvement over my big old CRT monitor. I am glad to rid of that beast. This monitor has such a small footprint, gives off no heat, and is energy efficient.

The things I did not like - when I first plugged it in to my PC, and powered up, nothing happened. I thought perhaps I had a dud. When I unplugged it from my PC, a screen saver came on, so I knew it worked. I plugged it back in, rebooted a few times, waited a while, and it started working. I put the driver floppy in the A: drive and my Windows ME found the driver right off, installed it, and I have not had a problem since. When I was having problems getting it to work, I tried to call tech support, but they only operate M-F during the day, and I was not happy about not being able to reach someone at 8 p.m. on a Friday night. The instructions that come with it are minimal. They give a Web site to use to get an online manual. That is a little hard to do, when you are at home, and only have one PC, and no way to get that manual unless you reinstall the old monitor, then connect to the Internet. I was so glad it came up before I went that route.

Well, it all worked out. No missing pixels - if you have that problem then return it - and just a great change to my computer system...
