Ink is just expensive2009-08-25
It's how the printer companies really make their money. I cringe that it costs me $120 to replace all of my ink cartridges on my Epson R1800 and I never get as many prints as I think I should. A necessity for sure, there is no way around buying these things, I just wish they were a little cheaper. The quality of the inks are very good though and the prints I get from the R1800 are outstanding.
Genuine, and thus perfect2009-06-21
I don't think this ink requires any comments. Its genuine from Epson, period. It's perfect for the Epson printer it's designed for. I don't have a problem using third-party inks on my cheap everyday printers. But for professional quality jobs on a pretty expensive (at least when we bought it a few years ago) Epson Photo R1800 -- genuine ink is the only way to go.
Epson T054320 Magenta Ink Cartridge2008-09-08
I purchased 2 sets of this ink with Cyan. I have faint area whenever I print the parts where magenta and cyan ink is required while other area look fine. I'm not sure because this is made in Mexico not in Japan? Very disappointed. :(
No substitute2008-06-06
I believe in competition but I tried a refilled cartridge and although the quality was fine it didn't last as long. Weighing that against the slightly lower price of the refills I think the originals are the way to go. Epson makes good printers and has been eclipsed by HP over the years. However I think you can still get more for your money by buying from the underdog.
Best price on genuine Epson ink2008-02-15
I buy my Epson ink cartridges from Amazon.com because they have the lowest available price for genuine Epson cartridges and if you make sure you are buying from Amozon.com and not a sub-supplier, you can always get free freight. If you do serious work and serious volume, genuine Epson ink is the ONLY way to go unless you want constant problems and headaches.
