I received my Big Buddy for Christmas 06 from my Dad. I've used it extensively at meets and wouldn't be without it. I called Mr Heater to find out which hose connection was the best for using a bbq tank and was told to use the hose that snaps onto the connector on the left side of the heater. This thing rocks!
Very useful heater that packs a punch.2008-01-31
Got this heater this year and really love it. It does a really great job of keeping me warm while working in my garage. I love the fact that it takes two 1 lb. throwaway cylinders. The two tanks actually last a lot longer than I had anticipated. One of the best things about it is the fact that it can be moved anywhere I am working. Often times, those heaters on propane bottles are hard to position to adequately feel the heat. But with the big buddy, I can position up high, down low...you name it. Great heater.

I've owned this product for 2 years and I would swear by it. Initially, I found out that the heater wouldn't run so long on 1# canisters so I bought the 1803 hose with quick connect and regulator. I connected this to my 20# tank and it just runs and runs until I turn it off. Their website provided me with additional maintenance tips to keep the heater clean and operational, and I have had nothing but positive experiences with their CS and technical personnel. I would recommend this product to everyone.

I have owned the Big Buddy Heater for a couple years now and must say it is one of the best cold weather items I have found. The heater can be operated with (2) 1lb. cylinders or a 20 # refillable cylinder, hose and the recommended fuel filter. ( Recently, I found out there is another even better hose to use with a refillable cylinder) The hose F271803 and you don't even need a fuel filter!! The heater has a small fan that circulates the warm air and runs on D batteries or 115 volt adapter.
I talk to a lot of RV owners and they swear by the heater.
