i was looking for the camera for my wife as a birthday present.i decided to look on amazon because i have had success on here before with excellent prices and deliverys.the camera was a replacement for one previously boughten,and i found exactly what i was looking for.i purchased it on a thursday,and it weas in my mailbox on saturday afternoon.me nd my wife was very pleased with the camera,the price,and the manner in which it was delivered to us in a 2 day span.i highly recommend this service to anyone looking for products and looking for a prompt delivery and satisfactory experienc eoverall

I have used Kodak cameras before and expected much better from this one.

I have been having problems with the camera's shutter for months. After sending it to be repaired once, the camera would sometimes make a grinding noise and fail to turn on. It would often take several times to get the camera to power up, and I would sometimes miss picture opportunities.

The camera was sent in to fix the powering on problem, and the problem has come back again.

I would recommend saving a lot of time and postage and getting something else. This camera is a frustrating piece of junk--instead of capturing good moments, I've ended up being upset because my stupid camera still doesn't work.

I bought this camera bundled w/ the Kodak Easyshare 5100 all in one printer (see my review for that item as well). Less than 24 hours out of the box, the battery stopped charging in the camera. The plug to charge the camera did not seat right and due to that the battery could not be charged. Called kodak since it was under warranty and was told they would charge me for shipping and if the problem was deemed not their fault, they would charge me for evaluation and repair as well. They suggested I return to the store or exchange. When I explained that it was bundled with the printer and I would need to return that too, they essentially told me I was out of luck. They then told me I could just go buy the external battery charger for less than the cost of shipping the camera to them, which I reluctantly did. Essentially, I felt scammed into buying another Kodak product I shouldn't have needed.

As for the camera, it takes awful pictures in the dark unless you are within approx. 2 feet for the flash and the easyshare transfer software is garbage. Avoid like the plague.

terrific for consumers looking for a simple yet high quality camera. price is great and so is functionality. this is my first digital camera and i've had great luck with it. really easy to use without tons of confusing buttons and bells and whistles. plus it is super cute! highly recommended.

I bought this camera - Kodak EasyShare V803 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Mystic Purple) for my neice as a birthday present. The good part is it worked on her birthday. The bad news is that it hasn't worked since. Her mother has been trying to contact the supplier to return it for over three weeks. They've been closed for the holiday(?). So, I'm not happy with this purchase at all and will not buy any other electronic items from Amazon or their vendors. I will have Amex involved in this by this coming Monday, if the problem is not resolved. Amazon's good for books and anything without moving parts and that's about it.
