Olympus Foam Float Strap, 202212, Red

You should not buy a under water digital camera without the float strap. I tested a few underwater cameras and they all had one thing in common... none floated. I purchased this for the Olympus Tough and it worked great. I went shelling with the strap on one arm and a net in the other. I dropped the camera in the water and this strap kept it floating and was easy to spot. As I got use to it, I would let the camera float on the water while I picked up shells and when I was ready to move down the beach, it was easy to grab. The only thing that would have been nice was a better grip surface on it because it would slide off my arm sometimes.

Arrived as promised. Have not had a chance to use in the water yet but will be in January in the Caribbean. Seems like a high quality item that should last for many years.

I used this item in conjunction with my 1030SW olympus camera all summer. A must have for a waterproof camera. I mean really whats the point of having a waterproof camera that sinks strait to the bottom. Also like the quick disconnect so you don't have to look goofy when not on the water. May not snug up enough for those with dainty wrists but that's why I left both straps on.

Don't be fooled and misleaded by it's floation device claim as plastic clip is poorly constructed and will dislodge camera in small waves. Your investment will then sink to the ocean floor, never to be seen again. But you'll have your bright red wrist strap......

Do not use any waterproof camera with out this handy strap.You will never loose your camera if it should come out of your hand and it weighs virtually nothing so very easy to pack. Highly recommended.
