Product Description:
Designed to help you become more aware of your physical condition, Wii Fit invites you to have fun and get healthy in the process. With exercises that focus on helping you to improve balance and posture, change your Body Mass Index or simply relax, Wii Fit uses the latest technology to assist you in leading a healthier lifestyle. The first step is putting your feet on the state-of-the-art Wii Balance Board in order to get an overview of your present fitness level. By measuring your BMI (Body Mass Index), analysing your centre of gravity and calculating your athletic ability via a couple of simple tests, the software determines your Wii Fit Age - a measure unique to the game which could range from 2 to 99. Wii Fit features more than 40 different exercises across four areas of training. Burn calories with the Aerobic Exercises, work on your balance and posture with the Balance Games, bulk up with the Muscle Workouts or learn to stretch and relax with the Yoga poses. Featuring everything from Step Basics to Snowboarding, Rhythm Boxing to Jogging, Wii Fit offers a vast range of entertaining activities that will keep you interested in working out and encourage the rest of the family to give it a try. To help you keep track of your progress, Wii Fit includes a special Wii Fit Channel that allows up to eight people to store and compare their personal fitness profiles, and also takes account of any exercise done away from the Wii Balance Board - ensuring you have an accurate overview of your fitness. And when you do make progress, you won't only be able to see it represented by a graph, but by the changing waistline of your chosen Mii character. Take the first step on the road to a healthier lifestyle with Wii Fit!

Great game but a few minor problems
2008-08-19Its a great game. Fun, a lot of entertainment especially when someone else is making a fool of themselves. My only problem is that the BMI, isn't that great, i am of muscular build and keep getting told i'm putting on weight. Also, if your considering getting this game. Keep on looking in shops not online, they are back in stock in some places. I got mine about a month ago in a gamestation store. They aren't available on most of the web for the retail price. Therefore, you get away from the increased price

WII FIT
2008-08-19Wii fit is by far the best game for nintendo wii. It comes with the balance board, which you stand on. The games are grouped into 4 catagories- Yoga, Muscel workouts, Aerobics and balance games. You can take the body test, where the wii fit weighs you measures your centre of gravity. My favourite game is the ski slalom.

Encouragement much needed
2008-08-19The trouble with getting this product was well worth it!. Was going to get from Amazon but the cost! Managed to get it from Argos at RRP but you have to check and reserve in the wee small hours. The product itself is what makes the Wii the best game systems on the market. As said before if you are a serious body builder this may not be for you but I have now unlocked all the games and activities on it and attempted to work through them all and it ain't easy. The first few times used it had myself and my wife in stitches. You can even aggravate your Mii's on the screen by clicking there feet and head which annoys them!. In the six weeks I have had this I have lost nearly a stone in weight (I have dieted as well) but the wii fit has helped. It makes a comment if you miss doing your test at all and I endeavour to do the test even if I don't get time to do the excercises. The Games withing the programme are good but i would have to recommend FAMILY SKI as well which works well with the board and is good fun.
Just a word of warning though, close your curtains as you look a right wally working on the wii and your neighbours may think you have lost your mind!

Blatent profiteering
2008-08-18Why is amazon allowing people to sell this product at well over the manufacturers recommended retail price? You expect to see this sort of thing from the charlatans on ebay but here? This is obviously profiteering (people who have bought the product to sell at a higher price, removing the product from circulation at it's actual price) It's totally immoral and possibly illegal.
I hope those profiteering from Wii fit become morbidly obese. Amazon you should be ashamed.

Brilliant fun - at last, exercise I enjoy!
2008-08-17I won't lie - I'm not exactly the most active person in the world...however, I bought my Wii Fit last Friday (after hunting one down for weeks!) and it is fantastic! Both my husband and I are doing it and you can definitely feel the heart racing, and each morning I have woken up feeling like I have done some much needed exercise! I'm genuinely thrilled it, and it's perfect for someone who wants to sweat, but not someone who wants a hard core work out.
The board is so sensitive that it recognises every move you make so you do do the exercises in the correct way, and the more you use the board the more 'games' you open. I'm especially partial to the step programmes - so fun. Admittedly the dog keeps sitting in front of me looking at me like I've officially lost my marbles, but it is really good - promise! It's worth every penny (and let's face it, if you have already spent all the money on the Wii, then you may as well invest in the board...)
