Sony DSLR-A200K Digital SLR Camera + Zoom Lens Kit (18-70mm F3.5-5.6)

Unfortunately, the lens reveals how the camera can be sold so cheaply. The made in China lens Lens kit on the A200 creaks when rotating the zoom. I returned the camera thinking this was a fault. But the second camera does the same. Not what I would expect of precision made equipment, come on Sony.

Brilliant camera - brilliant pictures in RAW format but let down by the image conversion software supplied on disc with the camera.

Sony help line about as good as their software !!

Pity really otherwise would have given the complete package 5 stars.

Feeling the urge to move into DSLRs after struggling to get the shots I was after with a Point n Shoot, I ended up with the A200 and I am very very happy.

I took a long time deciding between the A200, A300, D60 and EOS450D. What did it for me was price, inbuilt anti shake and many positive reviews out there for the A200. I wasn't too fussed for Live View on the A300, and despite the Nikon and Canon having the bigger rep, the price difference was just too much. With the money I saved over the Nikon/Canon I have purchased a bag, Sigma 70-300mm lens and a polarising filter.

Overall the A200 is superb! Very easy to use, good in the hands and produces some stunning images. Even the misses has got on great with it and we both now big DSLR fans.

Don't hesitate if your thinking about it.

This is my second DSLR camera and i was going to upgrade from my Canon 350D to the 400D, then i saw this reviewed in a computing magazine.
For the price it's fantastic and the image quality is superb, it feel's well made and the kit lens is pretty good. All in all i would recommend this to anyone.
